So what's new? The summer is going by far too fast! It seems as though we have barely done anything yet! Last weekend was a busy one for us. We took the kids to Osoyoos on Friday, Dan worked Saturday but we took the kids down to the midway that evening. The kids had a smashingly good time and didn't want to leave. Last year the rides weren't quite such a hit, but this year it was awesome watching Bradyn and Evan's little faces light up on every ride. Sunday was a kiddie birthday party, and it was Mom's birthday too. Then last Monday Dan's aunt rented a ski boat and we piled 9 adults and our three kids onto it and took to the water for a few hours. Evan LOVED it!!! He kept wanting to jump off the boat and swim! Then he and I went for a super slow tube ride, which he also loved! Bradyn was a little more cautious (which is odd for him). He just wanted to sit in the boat and eat Doritos.
This week has been Peach Fest here in the Peach city, so we have been taking the kids out every evening, and watching some dance, high diving and bands.
Tomorrow my dear husband leaves me...He is heading off to Vancouver for some training seminar of sorts, so I am without a partner in crime until late Tuesday night. Booo hooo!!!
Starting next week Dan is officially on two weeks holidays, so fingers crossed that we will have a plethora of fun and entertainment jam packed into 14 days! I still have to work but two days here and there go by fast, and I will probably be craving some "girl time" and a break from the mini testosterone pit I call home!! ; )
Kid updates...not a whole lot new in that department. Bradyn is sooooo excited about kindergarten starting soon that he can barely contain it! "Is it fall yet??" No honey, not yet.
Evan is doing well. His talking is getting better every day...the boy never shuts up so there is plenty of practice for him. Avery on the other hand is still not doing much in the way of actual words. He went and saw the speech therapist at the end of July. She said she wasn't concerned but would do a follow up appointment sometime in November. He is getting to be such a ham! He jokes and plays with Bradyn and Evan and it is hilarious to watch! We haven't had any official weights or measurements on him lately but I am guessing he is up somewhere around 34 lbs or so. He is no longer a little jelly bean, that's for sure! In the last post of pictures there is a classic one of Avery with his many back fat rolls!! And to think he had to see the pediatrician not so long ago because he was too skinny!!! My how things change!
So I think that's it for now folks. Sorry about the big gap between posts. That's what summer is all about I guess! I promise I will try to do better! :)
