Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!!!

Today Penticton got dumped on! For a city that barely ever gets more than an inch or two (which usually melts by the end of the day), this is a major event! We now have somewhere around 6-8 inches. This has turned our roads into death traps. The road maintenance crews apparently don't believe in plowing until it has stopped falling?!?!
The snow didn't bother us any! We were out playing in it all day. Shovelling the driveway, snow ball fights, snow angles, tag, and Dan built a snow slide. I think the boys should sleep well tonight!

My Boys.

Eight Month Update.

Yesterday Avery had his 8 month check-up. His weight is up to 17 lbs, 10 oz, and is 27.5" long. This is good progress. His weight is up to about the 25th-30th percentile, and his length is up to the 50th. Next month we go to see the peditrician for a follow up visit, and I think she will be pleased.
Avery has started to be quite the little explorer. Hiding under the table, or sneaking out into the kitchen. The minute you put him on the floor he starts locomoting via a strange worm style body drag where he pushes off with his feet and pulls with his arms. This might sound inefficient but he is getting fast! You turn your back for a second and he is gone! And I thought my life was busy before!!!!

The Butcher, The Baker, and The Candlestick Maker

I thought the picture above was funny. Not the best pic of the boys, but Evan and Avery look like twins! Funny since Evan looked nothing like that when he was Avery's age. Odd...

(pre)School Pictures

Bradyn went for his annual check up the other day. He is a fine specimen of a four year old in perfect health.
He weighed in at a whopping 49 lbs, and is 44 1/8 " tall. He stands almost a head above many of his class mates.

X-treme Bradyn!

Here are some pictures of Bradyn's first day riding his bike without training wheels! These pictures were taken Oct 5th...Just under a month before his fourth birthday. Years ago Dan told me that he was riding a bike when he was three, and I told him that he was mistaken, because three year olds ride tricycles, not bikes. Well, last month I was forced to eat my words. A couple weeks ago we took Bradyn to a parking lot to give him some room to ride. I went into the store, and when I came out ten minutes later, Bradyn was all excited to show me his "new trick". I was expecting him to show me a figure eight or something...Nope. He popped a wheelie!?!?! What the heck! A week before his fourth birthday! I gave Dan crap for teaching him such a dangerous trick, but Dan insists that he didn't teach him! I guess he learned from watching Daddy's mountain/BMX videos and watching Daddy ride. Ugh...Makes me nervous about what he will be trying when he is five!!!!

Finally a Halloween Picture!

Happy 4th Birthday Bradyn!!

On November 4th my little baby had his 4th birthday. I can't believe how fast time is slipping away. My adorable little baby is growing in to such a big handsome boy now! For his birthday we had a quiet evening at home with pizza, cake and of course presents!

Here is a little glimpse of the last four years!

Happy 4th Birthday Bradyn! We love you so much!!!

Grrrrr!!!

Ok, so my original plan was to take this rare opportunity of spare time and do some much needed updating, but I am running into difficulties. We recently reformatted our computer, and added a whole lot of new virus controls. One would think that all this would make a computer happy and run smoother and quicker...Nooooooooo. This has totally screwed EVERYTHING! I can not figure out what the exact problem is, but I can't seem to open certain windows, and other windows are automatically opening. I am so frustrated! So for now, until I can figure out what the heck is going on, I will only be able to update with text and not pictures. You will have to take my word for it that the boys were absolutely adorable in their halloween costumes! Bradyn was a frog, Evan was a giraffe and Avery was a caterpiller.
Evan has been going to an Early Language Development class. I am not sure if it has helped but he is doing awesome with learning new words every day, and he is using the ones he knows more and more. The other day he used his first three word sentence. "lus mama light" which translates to "look grandma, light". We are starting to see a bit of the "terrible two's" coming out in his attitude. Oh Lord, give me strength!!!
Bradyn is finally starting to settle into preschool, and I am noticing a lot of positive changes in his attitude. He is a huge help around the house, and is always game for a race to see who can clean the most, or how fast he can complete a task.
Avery is still a little jelly bean. He doesn't go for another weigh in until the 20th, so I don't know if he is still doing well for weight. Last week he popped out his two top teeth, so his grand total not is four...two top and two bottom. He has mastered the art of sitting, and is working on the crawling. He can get to where ever he wants to go by getting up on his knees and elbows, or hands and launchng himself forward. It looks like a little worm lurch. Very cute.
Every one is doing well on this end. Dan will be starting his busiest time of year at work, so we have to take advantage of his time off now because come mid month it will most likely be six days a week and 10-12 hour days.
That's about it! Hopefully soon I will have pictues to add!!
